It’s not often that Jeff and I get to be a part of a couple’s wedding from before they were even a couple! Connor was already serving at the church when we moved from Atlanta. He was encouraging and kind to my husband during the transition. Jeff loved his passion and we quickly fell in step with calling Connor a friend as so many people do. Christy moved from Atlanta shortly after and she found herself among friends instantly. Or at least I’d like to think she did! We called it. In fact as I walked Christy outside I remember asking, “So Connor?” “Just friends” she replied. “But you wouldn’t be opposed to it?” She smiled and confirmed that “if” something happened she’d be open. Here we are a year later…. We have the unique privilege of having them as friends in our lives. Christy is a huge part of Olivia’s tribe. I have tears in my eyes as I think on the times she recounts all the fun she had playing with Christy during our date nights. She always make her feel valued and as a parent, I can’t quite describe the feeling when you see an adult who you call friend, invest in your child. Connor does the same. They are one in a million and we can’t wait for them to get hitched. I hear the guy marrying them is pretty hot ;). (for clarification… it’s my husband)
These are just a few of their engagement photos that I love so much. You can’t pose this much love and happiness.
